Experience Dives
Depth Progression and Environments
Dive Leader Experience/Sign Offs
Newly qualified Sports Divers, wishing to increase their depth experience, are encouraged to do so in a progressive manner, in increments of approximately 5m. They need to be accompanied on such dives by a diver holding a minimum qualification of Dive Leader, and all such dives are performed under the supervision of an Instructor.
Other divers may have experience in overseas environments where visibility and temperature allows for diving of a certain type. We wish to encourage all divers to gain supervised orientation to the UK environment, including appropriate training and orientation to drysuit and low visibility diving.
Dive Leader trainees may need to further their dive leading experience. We utilise Experience Dives for this purpose also.
All experience dives generally take place on a Sunday or some Wednesday evenings and have a simple pricing method: dives are £30 each and kit is £45 to hire for one day. At instructor discretion you may need to complete an assessment dive prior to depth progression. Please note that your entry fee to an open water dive site, transportation and other costs are not included. You may also be asked to complete a drysuit orientation in sheltered water prior to open water diving.
